Zaudētie kilogrami sievietēm, kuras ēda sātīgas brokastis, neatgriezās. Venecuēlā pētījumā novēroja 100 sievietes ar lieko svaru. Viņām bija jāievēro diēta, kuras laikā varēja dienā patērēt 1240 kalorijas. 50 sievietes ēda sātīgas brokastis, tajās notiesājot pusi no dienas kaloriju devas. Pārējās sievietes brokastis neēda vai ēda nedaudz.
Uzskata arī, ka, lietojot ar proteīnu un ogļhidrātiem bagātu pārtiku, nav vēlēšanās apēst konfekti vai kādu citu našķi.
